The Descendants of the Masters
The Descendants of the Masters was formed by Sigung Paul Vunak along with his top two instructors, Sifu Tom Cruse and Sifu Harinder Singh Sabharwal with the goal of assembling a corps of instructors and developing these instructors to the height of their abilities. These men and women were hand-picked by Sigung Vunak to be the vanguard in passing on his life's work. They are the cream of the crop of Progressive Fighting Systems. They were chosen not just for their physical abilities and fighting skills, but their passion for education, both in continually educating themselves, and in sharing their experiences with others.

The Descendants were selected from diverse backgrounds all over the world. They include not only PFS instructors, but those with experience in many other martial arts, law enforcement, military, and civilians. Only the Descendants of the Masters are specifically trained, tested, and licensed by Sigung Paul Vunak to teach his American martial arts to civilians and law enforcement. The Descendants of the Masters have been trained and tested in all realms of hand to hand combat, striking, grappling, weapons, and multiple opponents, as well as psychological training and developing killer instinct.
Beyond their own combative capabilities, DoM instructors have been trained to train. They have been taught to instruct individuals and organizations using the same teaching methodology developed by Sigung Vunak while he was teaching America's elite Special Operations units. Each DoM Instructor benefits from a personal training relationship with Sigung Vunak, Sifu Cruse, and Sifu Singh.
The goal of the Descendants of the Masters program is to develop a complete martial artist who is capable of teaching anyone to protect themselves, whether that person is a combat-hardened Navy Seal or a young boy with Muscular Dystrophy, a veteran police officer or a stay at home mother.
